Taiwan Weather Bureau sees In-fa intensifying:

"Position 240000Z at 26.2N 124.7E, Movement: NNW 16km/hr. Minimum pressure 945 hpa, Max sustained winds near center 43 meter per second, Gusts 53 meter per second."

Copious rainfall expected in parts of Eastern China over the next several days as In-fa moves very slowly or stalls inland. The CMA mentions that the accumulated rainfall from July 24-29 in Zhejiang, Shanghai, southern Jiangsu, and Anhui will reach 300-600mm, with localized >800mm!




Astronomical high tide and the typhoon's large size also make storm surge a concern. China's National Ocean Forecasting Station warns of the possibility of surge heights up to 2.5 meters along the coasts of Zhejiang and Shanghai.

In-fa made its second landfall over Pinghu City, Zhejiang according to the CMA.

The center of Typhoon No. 6 this year (strong tropical storm) made landfall again on the coast of Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province at around 09:50 on the 26th. The maximum wind force near the center was 10 (28 m/s) when it landed. The lowest pressure is 978 hPa.

Parts of Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Anhui have received 24-hr rainfall totals of 100-225mm (as of July 26, 8am BJT). Heavy rain threat to continue for a few days more.
