The GFS has actually been showing the vorticity signature for a few days now, but continues to lose it near the islands ... It's actually funny, really ... back before the inception of Isabel, the GFS was showing 3 strong vorticities at 950mb rotating around a common point (the mesovorticities) while the CMC was indicating the development of a bulldog system ...
Anyway, IMHO, I still think SOMETHING is going to develop there.
