I love the holidays! I used to get depressed though when I felt that I HAD TO bake cookies, wrap, decorate, mail cards, entertain, shop, etc. There's so much unnecessary pressure that people put on themseleves. Marty & I do tend to battle it out as to when we get the Christmas tree. I like having it about two weeks before Christmas, but there has been times when he's procrastinated (on purpose I think) that he'd wait until the week before.
My Grandfather passed away on Christmas in 1995 after a long illness. He was the first relative that I ever had at that time to die. As Karan said, there are alot of people that I wish were still with us to share the holidays with, but it's also a season of reflection, so they are kind of there with you anyhow.
Have a great ime HG!!

Enjoy the holidays, they'd want you to.
You go Steph!!!!!

I've gone out to get the tree before - once. The one I picked was very full and pear shaped but SHORT. I never lived that one down. He's picked some winners himself though. It all evens out!
