Low pressure area north of Bermuda (Is Invest 96L)
An area of disturbed weather has formed north of Bermuda. Its 850 mb vorticity signature has rapidly improved in just the last 3 hours. The 12z ECMWF hinted at development of this system as it takes a slow clockwise loop, with a few members even making it a hurricane at a high latitude.

Re: Area of disturbed weather north of Bermuda
This has been on the Euro OP and ensemble models for the last few days now. It should be worthy of a lemon at 8pm.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Re: Area of disturbed weather north of Bermuda
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on the
Remnants of Fred which are expected to re-generate into a tropical
cyclone over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico tonight or Sunday.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.
1. A small area of low pressure associated with disorganized showers
and thunderstorms has developed more than 200 miles north-northeast
of Bermuda. Some gradual development is possible over this weekend
into early next week as this system drifts slowly southward near
Bermuda over the next few days.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
