i agree anybody that wears a uniform is a hero.. they r over there risking their lives so we can live free here. i would hate to go thru another 9-11. yes i belive also that the guy down the street who saved someone is also a hero. jess went over there to fight for us, and in my book she is a hero.

Thank you Perry! Glad to have someone in my corner! :D

It's a personal subject to me as well, one of my childhood friends is over in Iraq as we speak, not only is he a great friend, he is my hero as well! Anyone who defends is- and unless you have done something to protect this country, you have no right to argue any different!! -->Well, lol, you have the right to do whatever the heck ya want, but IMO if you can criticize while you're sleeping safely in your bed with no worries, well....I'll just leave the rest to myself!!

I just saw on the evening news that Jessica Lynch's older brother is being sent to Iraq. I'd certainly hate to be him...not only does he have the recent memory of how badly injured his sister is because of a tour of duty there; but those forces loyal to Saddam aren't stupid. It would be a huge psychological coup if they (god forbid) managed to capture or kill him. If I were Greg Lynch, I'd watch my back at all times; and never stray far from my barracks, because IMO he's a marked man.

I heard that Jessica Lynch's older brother is going to Iraq on Fox News Channel, as well. I was somewhat surprised he wasn't called when his sister was, considering the numbers of soldiers that were needed back in the spring.

Amen! Like it's been said.......ALL those who are wearing the uniform are heros!

My vote, check out #3, that was my vote!

My question, what about Lorrie Piestiwa??? SHE paid the ULTIMATE price and cannot *reap the benefits* of a book, movie, interview etc, etc! Frosts my cookies I'm tellin' ya!

Jessi, I'm sure, is very broken up about Lori...she was Jessi's best friend.

I agree, more should have been said and written about her. Your post about her burial, IMHO, was very inspirational.

I agree Dennis about Lori. I think of her too. I also think about the African American girl too. I can't remember her name. :( But I can see her face. That poor thing went through terror. Both stories should be told.

SPC Shoshanna Johnson, a cook with the 507th...Jessica related that Johnson visited her at her home about a week ago. She was injured in both ankles with a single shot, and still can't walk all that well.

ALL of their stories should be told. They were all very brave.
