hi
I don't know if anyone can help me
friends of mine were sailing in the caribbean.. ( we are located at 18.1 North
and 63.1 West)
they are sail a lot in the Notrtheast USA and they sometime navigate by the stars . they are familiar with the location of the stars and constelaltions in the northeast sky. Everything in the caribbean is at a differnt location since we are closer to the equator, I guess
I once had a web site where you could put in your latitude and longitude and you would get a chart of what the night time sky in your area looks like.
is anyone familiar with this and has the URL?
it would be much appreciated
thanks
how to find positons of stars in the caribbean

This site looks interesting:
http://einstein.stcloudstate.edu/Dome/c ... tlist.html
It has discussions on the 48 constellations, where they can be viewed from different parts of the world and hemispheres and information about the stars too.
