Henri probably still has a ways to go before becoming stacked. The mid level center is very potent but is still separated from the LLC.

I’m prepping now as if it’s going to make a mid-island hit (I’m in Nassau County and my parents out East). I hate this westward trend. At least the Isaias damaged tree in my neighbor’s yard was taken down last month, but very worried for my parents with how wet everything already is.

Maybe? ICON brings it in near NYC and actually hooks it westward to loop inland for a bit before heading back out. Not sure how that will impact everything as it's a complicated scenario. However, with some models seeing sub 980's, a Cat 2 is certainly within the realm of possibility as the NHC alludes to in their forecast advisory.

If Henri wouldn't have been held back by shear it would have been racking up some really nice ACE the last few days.

Yeah so they did not do it at 11am, so I think it could be prudent given the model trend. I have it at 74.35, if it crosses 75 the forecast will bust badly.

So you are telling me that this is a well stacked TC? I can see the low level clouds spinning at the top left, and east headed clouds near the top of the CDO. BTW closing in on 75

Def not a very well stacked system. Not so sure I trust those shear maps.
