Those TS sustained winds won't carry inland beyond the beaches. Gusts to TS strength in squalls inland, though. Main threat will be heavy rainfall.
Good morning wxman57...is the cooler water temps in that region, the main player for a lower intensity with Henri?...the cyclone seemed much healthier in the past couple days...
Henri moved north of the Gulf Stream about 24 hours ago.

Mid-level center seems to be entering southern MA. LLC is in eastern CT.

Out of all the storms I’ve received impacts from in the last 10 years here in western CT, Henri is near the bottom in terms of severity. Winds under 20 mph (even gusts), periods with no rain, and not much flooding at all. I think even Elsa was more impactful. This was a fortunate turn of events for this side of the state.
The storms I’ve gone through, ranked from most to least impactful, are:
—May 2018 Derecho
—Sandy ‘12
—Irene ‘11
—Isaias ‘20
—Elsa ‘21
—Henri ‘21
—Fay ‘20
—Assorted TC remnants

Yeah Henri was a nonevent for most lol. The potential was there but it just never materialized. Would have been a different story if this was a cat 2 barreling towards NE
parts of NJ/PA are still getting dosed with rain though. one part of NJ has 9 inches of rain already

Henri never quite found a favorable environment to intensify much. Those shear forecasts didn't fully materialize, for the benefit of the Northeast.

Henri was just too weak and disorganised to pose much of a threat, even rain-wise, fortunately.

Rain has really picked up today, with Henri’s massive rain band sitting right over my town. Most of the forecast totals will probably be from today.

Yeah just really really rainy. Barely any wind. I think my part of Connecticut has gotten about 1-3 inches total.

Even so, with over 8" NYC got the most rainfall from a TS or H since another TS way back in 1882 and the second heaviest on record from a TS or H thanks to the slow and unusual movement nearby! This goes to show that even with a TC that was pretty tame in most areas, it can still pack a wallop in a few areas in a certain way. Brooklyn actually had even more with ~10" or more along with widespread flooding!
