With only about 12 hours left I have a feeling Ida will be strengthening all the way to landfall. Buckle up southeast Louisiana

Thank you very much! We will need all the prayers we can get in the coming days. I'm not too worried because I am not at risk for storm surge flooding (if the levee holds) and rain flooding won't get me for sure. I live in a very well-built house that sits 10ft off the ground giving me a 1st-floor elevation of 14fft 4in above sea level. But I know from past experience that there will be massive devastation all around me. My biggest fear is of one of those meso-vortices hitting my house directly but hell that's just part of the deal.

Maybe I am just whistling past the graveyard but I am pretty confident in my preps and my home.
