Major props to that Grand Isle webcam which is somehow still broadcasting. Video on TWC continues to be cataclysmic.

That webcam should be required viewing for anyone who wants to ride out a Cat 4 or 5 on a barrier island.

These storms amaze me. All hell breaking loose on the coast, but just looks like a routine cloudy, rainy day on the Raceland webcam less than 50 miles away.

Is it just me or does it look like the secondary eye-wall is melding with the primary eye-wall? At least it looks like it from the past few radar scans on the eastern side.

That Grand Isle cam is receiving big splashes now. About to go underwater.

Got my eyes on moving right into Hurricane Alley: Florida.
Re: ATL: IDA - Hurricane - Discussion
Grand Isle must be completely underwater. I can't imagine anything being more that a few feet above sea level and that cam is at least 5 or 6.

Don't quote me but I think I just saw either a Cobia or Tarpon swim by the lens. Water level rising fast

Based on this and the VDM, I would put the intensity at LF at 120 kt / 929 mb.

That double eyeball feature was unreal. Just wondering if that was just a radar/satellite image and was there really a clearing all around the inner eyewall?
