Looks like Josh didn't reposition. When was the last chase he didn't intercept the eye? This must end some sort of streak.

Bataria Bay and Waterway near Bayou Perot at Point Legard, Louisiana is at 7.38' and climbing fast. The record is 8.9'.

Im afraid many areas have yet to see peak surge.

Cimiss steering current for this MB storm has shown a NNE movement in the end I just expected it earlier.I was thinking it might make 90W then it would be 60miles W as the crow flies for me but thinking 90.3 might be the closest it might get at 30N.

I see a lot of screenshots from Facebook. CHECK SOURCES, don't believe most of this.

Maybe he doesn’t want to die before he has a chance to finish analyzing and post the data he gathered from Grace.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

So in an hour over land, the central pressure has risen... one millibar?? That's nuts.

HWRF was pretty spot on suggesting this storm would hold its structure for an alarming amount of time after landfall, but then depicts a collapse pretty abruptly and rapidly. We'll see exactly when and where that second part takes place, but it sure hasn't yet.

Have you ever been to that part of Louisiana? Land is a relative term. Mostly swamp grass and some trees in water.

By the way, I measured a 2-hr movement toward 001 deg at 7 kts.
