I'm directly in the center of some of the heaviest rainfall here in PA...lots of places here have been completely soaked all summer and we had Fred and Henri dump a ton of rain too. I've seen anywhere from 3 to 11 inches of rain on some of the models in south central PA :/

I'm concerned about Tennessee too. They suffered catastrophic flooding with at least 22 dead little more than a week ago. Good luck to you up there.

NOLA going through this in the dark. Awful. Having major Sandy flashbacks right now.

Listening to the Jefferson Parish Fire scanner feed and a unit advised the residents did not want to evacuate without their animals. The command responded " The entire town will be under water in two hours. tell them to bring the dog and we will figure out the shelter"

Pro Mets supporting one another. Love to see it. A great local pro met makes such a difference in a time like this.

Yes, 22 of them. And there was at least one bridge strike in Jefferson Parish already.

Proof on the Bridge Strike?

Really bad here in Hammon and looks like it will be until at least midnight

Hope you got out in plenty of time. No telling what condition your place might be in. Sent you a private message here re: fortifying your windows.... be safe!

I have a feeling that the damage of this storm will be at least $50 billion.

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

TWC just reported storm surge in LaPlace up to 10 feet from Lake Ponchatrain. New Orleans just reported peak wind gust of 90 mph.

Reading all these tweets, seeing these videos, and watching local coverage I shudder to think what daylight will bring in New Orleans, Northshore, Kenner, Houma, Laplace, Galliano, Grand Isle, Port Fourchon etc when helicopters and drones start to fly..
