I think it was better for me last time, but still had a clear view! Never caught it full on though.

Cloudy as usual here in CHS ... I was fortunate enough to have clear skies during the rare view of the aurora borealis ... so it's more than a fair trade ...

The view was pretty good here in South FLoirda. A few clouds but it cleared out just in time for the main show. Some video below!

I was able to view the total lunar eclipse here in central Florida, temperatures in the mid 70's.

The moon turned that neat-o copper color, the lower right portion never actually "disappeared."

Topeka's weather was un-cooperative, not allowing me to view. Maybe next time. :)

I saw it in several phases. We did have high thin clouds that filtered the moon, but never really covered it. It only obstructed the "red" color the eclipse gave off. I went outside at around 8:11 and the whole moon was covered then.

While we're on the subject of the moon, did anyone get a glimpse of it around 6pm? The moon was very low on the horizon and HUGE with an orange color...it looked more impressive than the eclipse! I've seen this phenomen before, but does anyone know what actually causes the moon to appear to be much bigger than normal?

I think it has to do w/ how close moon is to earth at the time...as for orange color, well, that's the sunlight's work more or less...

I've heard the orange or brownish glow comes from the pollution in the atmosphere, although I don't know if that is totally correct.

I had a great view of the lunar eclipse on Saturday night. Most of the moon was either obscured or appeared to be a dark reddish/brownish color at about 8 PM. Very cool!

 It was the nicest and first I have ever really seen. The ones I was aware of in the past were always at times when I was working or it was cloudy. I was lucky enough to share this one with my children.

It was awesome....I saw the eclipse in progress...but didn't get to see the final full eclipse...still it was a beautiful sight in the star-filled sky
