3rd pass: Pressure 954.6; SE quad FL 111 kt, SFMR 103 kt; NW quad FL 102 kt, SFMR 101 kt.

Also, the extrap pressure from the 2nd pass seems lower than the eye drop?

^ Edit: That's also true for the 3rd pass. Eye drop only at 957 mb.

The 135 kts is an adjustment back when Sam was at peak intensity yesterday.

Fingers crossed that Sam is able to complete this EWRC without any hiccups. It’s not going to hit any land — Bermuda and Atlantic Canada are looking less and less likely — so we can root for this to get as strong as possible without harming anyone.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

We might get an annular Sam earlier than I thought possible. Major structural changes in the last couple of hours

Sure seems like it. Starting to get that buzz saw look on the southern half... can see where a possible monster eye could open up too. Gonna be interesting to see what it looks like tomorrow morning.

Imagine if Larry were active at the same time as Sam.

Do you think Larry or Sam is better looking?

Larrys was like 3 times this eye's size. Larry was absolutely massive.
