Do commercials influence your buying?

#1 Postby azsnowman » Mon Nov 10, 2003 7:49 am

Just curious, have you ever been sitting there watching t.v., a commercial comes on and you HAVE to go out and buy that product?? Commercials do influence our buying to a certain point.....especially those DANG Klondike Bar commercials  "What would you dooooo for a Klondike Bar?" No joke, I was sittin' there one evening after supper, nuthin' for dessert, that DANG commerical came on, I "RAN" out to the store shortly there after

Taco Bell commercials always make me hungry for grilled stuffed burritos. And we did visit Dairy Queen quite a bit after a commercial about the blizzards being on sale. And when they advertise certain toys in Burger Kings kids meals. Other that that, no. Commercials usually don't influence what I buy. Especially since I despise tv lawyers and I don't want a new car, can't afford Rebok, and I just don't get Nike commercials. So many commercials now just leave me wondering what they are trying to sell.

Thanks to Debi, almost all I get to watch is "male-bashing channels" (WE, Lifetime, LMN, Oxygen, etc.)...and if I were influenced by the commercials they offer, we'd be up to our ears in feminine hygiene products!!  :( :larrow:

Not usually... but if something looks really neat or looks tasty I would be more inclined to buy it when I am in the store.
