Are you accident prone?

#1 Postby azsnowman » Mon Nov 10, 2003 8:16 am

Are you a *clutz*? Me......you BET  as evident by my poor left thumb this morning, I broke it yesterday afternoon, how you ask?? If your squimish, don't read this part "LOL!" I FINALLY got around to building the back deck on the house, only took me 1.5 years  ANYWAYS.....I was building a form to pour a concrete landing pad (for the steps) WHEN I was nailing the forms together, I hit the end of my thumb, nail and all, with a 32 oz framing hammer  Needless to say, I can't move it this morning, it's 10 times the size of my right thumb and BLUE!! MAN is it BLUE! *SIGH*......

Clutz here I'm afraid Dennis! Best example I can come up with are twisting my ankles. At least 8 or so times thru the years. Turning them on a stairs, while wearing high heels at a company dinner (worked as Med Receptionist, so we never wore heels to work!), or turning them while dancing. Worst time was trying to gingerly walk down our steps amidst all the dolls my girls had sitting there. The dolls were going on a trip and we have a window on our landing. I missed a step, folded my ankle completely under, cracking a bone. Needed a walking cast that time for 2 months. Now I walk very carefully and avoid icy sidewalks. I just walk in the grass now, forget those sidewalks - sorry neighbors! So yes I'm a major clutz.

Needless to say my girls never put toys on the steps after that again!

"Your like a bull in a china shop." - As said by a former boss. He was smiling when he said it.

I have done some pretty stupid things. I can be considered a clutz at times.

I am definitely a KLUTZ!! I will be walking and just trip over nothing. I was sitting in the courtroom one day and there was a loud pop, my pen exploded and drowned me with red ink. The judge was about to double over. But, I just kept on working because I am SO USED to it. lol.

Dennis, hope your finger survives YOU. lol.

stormchazer, my Mom always tells me that too. She will say "You are like a bull in a China cabinet" Or "You learned how to whisper in a saw mill" hoo boy.

GEEZ Dennis - take care of that thumb!

I can be clutzy, but I've never broken a bone in my body.

OH GOD YEAH...I once squashed my left pinky b/w my chair and the bathroom door, have flipped the chair 20 times (most recently last Wednesday chasing after someone in a game), not to mention fell down two hundred times (that last one is exaggerated lol)...

Dennis, have a speedy recovery bro!!!!!!!!!

How about breaking the third toe on left foot by catching the corner of a floor model televison cabinet as I walked by it. I have webbing on the 2nd and 3rd toes on both feet and I caught the corner of the television cabinet between the 2nd and 3rd toews and broke the number 3 toe. Was very painful for months afterward if I stepped on something the wrong way.
Dennis please get that thumb taken care of. You may need to have the thumbnail drilled to relieve the pressure of fluid buildup from the broken blood vessels.

OH YES, Daylily I've been thru the drilling of a big toenail. I've broken a rib slipping down steps wearing new shoes!! I've broken my tailbone roller skating. Most people think my legs are natural pink and purple polka dot. But Nahhhhhh, I'm not a KLUTZ, I'm just an accident waiting to happen!!!!

Dennis, please take care of that thumb. I think glasses might be in order too. By the way was it the Dos Equis????jk
