Ayala Center Cebu is open but most of the mall is closed and filled with signs like this


Seeing the damage reports in Siargao, I'd make a case this was a category 5 at landfall. A P600+ million stadium got leveled. Look at the damage reports and you guys be the judge.

It's still unreal seeing us as a state like this. I'm a bit sad this isn't talked about as much as it should have been.

I forgot to ask like, last week, but where did you get this from? Every source I've seen states they still have it at 145kt. Well aside from like Wikipedia but you get what I mean.

Some new data on Rai. Actual observed max gust at the station in Surigao and Maasin was 113kts (58m/s) and 107kts (55m/s), respectively.

JTWC has published their overview of 2021 cyclone season.
According to the overview, they maintained the peak intensity of Chanthu at 155knots and described Rai as the 2nd most intense TC of WPAC season.
Looks like that they raised the peak intensity of Rai to 155knots or 160knots.
By the way, they also raised the peak intensity of Tauktae to 130knots.

According to the overview, they maintained the peak intensity of Chanthu at 155knots and described Rai as the 2nd most intense TC of WPAC season.
Looks like that they raised the peak intensity of Rai to 155knots or 160knots.
By the way, they also raised the peak intensity of Tauktae to 130knots.
So Rai was stronger than Surigae? I think Rai was the third most intense typhoon.
