That's graupel - partially melted snowflakes. They're round, light, and bounce like little styrofoam beads.

This front has some power. Already below freezing with a wind chill of 18. This wasn’t suppose to happen until around 3pm.

I can see the front, it's a low Gray cloud deck with a blue hue. Bracing for impact.

I'm driving around Irving and I see exactly what you are talking about. Bring on the cold and get rid of this warmth.

Yup, there's a white cumulus cloud with a gap behind it then dark gray blue clouds. Find a high point. I've got some photos I'll try and post later.

Edit, yup that whit cumulus clod is the front. Just passed over. Wind is howling out of the north 10 degree temp in 5min. WOW. Front is through Ponder.

I'm at 635 and McCarrthur which sits fairly high with a good view of the north sky.. Cloud deck inching closer. Bueno.

Interesting, the NWS is giving a chance of light sleet and snow for the Ville Platte, La. area tomorrow during the day. It must be a glitch or a mistake

We saw those clouds driving, and the wind is howling. Started at 73 and now 65. Probably not grilling tonight. Lol.

Nope wasn't graupel tho some of that was there too, this was definitely still sleet, but a much drier version than typical.

Feels like humid hazy swamp ass out in front of the front.

Ready for it to pass through.
