Out of Sight...NOT Out of Mind...

#1 Postby azskyman » Thu Nov 06, 2003 8:52 pm

Hi fellow Storm2k'ers. Almost embarrassing to be nominated as member of the month when my presence has been dramatically less and I haven't posted a new post of any substance for a long long time.

I voted, but surely not for myself. It is great, however, to see the interaction continuing and the contributions of others growing in healthy and constructive ways.

I know I am not alone when I remind you that while I am not sitting on the porch very often, not warming my hands by the stove just yet, and not feeling very well connected to the challenges of YOUR days, I ALWAYS have a thought or two about my friends right here.

How you are doing? How is the job working out? Are you feeling healthy again? Did you have a safe trip? Are you enjoying the fall weather? Are you loving your family?

Are you still feeling good about being a member of Storm2k....just like I am?

Are you thankful for this opportunity?

I may be out of sight, but you are not out of my mind.

May God continue to bless you and watch over you. May His hand lie gently on your shoulder when you need it. May the warmth of His glow take away your pain, your sickness, or your heartache. May a heartfelt smile enlighten your spirit each and every day.

You can ALWAYS reach me by e-mail or private message...I check it constantly and enjoy nothing more than feeling your friendship...and watching it blossom with others right here on Storm2k.

Mostly...I just want you to know I appreciate you, care about you, and am always within reach.

Hope to be back more frequently when the clock leaves me some "personal" time.

Steve (azskyman)

I do feel blessed to have found a wonderful website and an extended family!

See, that's it!!!!!!!
Steve, you haven't been around to say much lately, but what you say, you say so meaningfully - so eliquently that it leaves a lasting impression.

That's why you're always nominated!!!!!! (Those candy bars might have something to do with it too!!)lol

We miss you
I hope all is well with you, Kathy and your family.
Take care my friend
Karan

Steve- you just said everything I wanted to say but couldn't find the words!! You don't have to "be" here to know that you are cared about!! You at least have a fan in Iowa! :)

As a person who has come and gone off of S2k, more than once, whenever I came back I was always welcomed, by not just one member, but by many. I have never felt a sense of family like that on any other board I have visited. From what I've experienced and from what I've read from other members and yourself I know that you will always be welcome in the S2k family. Take care of yourself and your family and please visit whenever you can.

Every website needs its "sage", and whether you see it or not, Steve, you're OURS...a calm, reasoned voice in a sometimes troubling sea of personal woes, pet peeves and all those matters that humanity is heir to.

Your influence IS ever present, even when you are unable to visit as often as we'd all like...and that, sir, is truth.

OK, as for us...we are passing the two-month mark in our new apartment, no problems at all; my relatives (Grandma Thelma, stepson Tony, and brother Cliff) are all on the mend, Debi's quickly finishing up this semester's headaches (rough one for her!); coppertop is doing well, "girl" trouble (getting and losing "girlfriends" by the hour), as befitting a 15-year-old...and Annabelle is still being a ho'.

We couldn't have come this far without the prayers, actions and well-wishes of our family here at Storm2K...God bless you all!...and thanks to you, we are still afloat aboard the good ship "Bootheel", tacking now as a cold, north wind blows out of Canada, Arrgghh!

I certainly agree Bill!

I'm SO happy that everyone is on the mend. I'm not surprised that Coppertop has girlfriends ( and problems with them) because he is a good looking chap.

I know that Poppysky usually is pretty busy this time of the year and I never thought for one minute that he had forgotten us. We all have our moments when life takes us away from our family. I just hope that he realizes that we haven't forgotten him either!

Steve, I have always admired you and your posts since we started conversing at TWC site...you are truly an inspiration to me, Wxbuddy! :D

Thank you very much for those Emma pics that you send, too! :)

I've felt some inspiration stirring these days...your comments also help. A man is measured by the friends he keeps, not how many folks he passes by.

The study and science of weather has introduced me to thousands of good people...and it is from your own lives that mine becomes enriched.

No word is too small, nor smile too meek, that I do not hold it close in friendship.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.

Steve/AZSKYMAN,

Before I found my way into wx boards, I could count the number of my friends on the index finger of my right hand...now, I have an extended FAMILY, of which you are not least among them. :D

Call me by land line sometime...I'm always here. :larrow:
