Re: Texas Winter 2021-2022
Got about 3-4 inches on elevated surfaces with most grassy areas between 4-6, with snow drifts up to 8-10 inches around here. I love any snow but with some of the runs (and us only getting .3 inches of sleet or so), I am a little confused as to why we didn’t get any higher amounts. Even then, I’m still very happy with the event so far and we still have all tomorrow for adding a little bit more! I hope y’all in Texas are staying warm, dry, and indoors!

Most should be pinging pretty good now in the metroplex.

Yeah I gotta admit I'm pretty underwhelmed tonight. Don't get me wrong I'm glad we finally get a snowstorm and it looks amazing and we still have tomorrow but given the hype this storm had it definitely fell flat. It's pretty much like last year in Dallas right now. I just struggled to measure 3 inches after 5 hours of snow. I'll see again in the morning but yeah. The snow is also super dry which I'm confused about because I heard about this storm had so much moisture
Can the next storm at least not be brutal wind

Decatur down to 25F, looks like that 2nd push of colder air is about to move into the metroplex.

NWS DFW says 1-3” still in my area despite earlier maps showing much higher accumulations with frzg rain, sleet, & snow. Have things changed to lower precip accumulation?

I mean I'm not really upset im glad it snowed but the hype this storm had was way overblown and the models didn't help

Getting lightning and thunder now, heavy rain continuing. I'm actually suprised there hasn't been a flood warning issued for Travis County considering the eastern half got a few inches of rain on Monday. I'd like to check my rain guage but I want to wait until the lighting stops.

Would be nice to see this transition sooner than later! There’s about to be some serious issues if not.

Moderate sleet now. It's really coming down and covering just about anything. Too bad it's dark and most are asleep.

Yep I slept for a bit on the couch and a steady sleet is falling. Cars are covered and the ground is slowly getting frozen. Still warmer than I thought it would be at this hour.
