CBS radar estimates about 2 inches of snow for northwest Tarrant across me and a bit to the east. I’m watching them a bit since a former student is reporting in Dallas for them.

Roofs and grass is covered now so I'd say half to 3/4 inch so far. It's coming down hard, tough to measure but what the sleet didn't obscure the snow is doing the job. At least it will stay around till Saturday.

Been snowing hard for about hour now, about 3/4 ‐ 1" so far as well.

In Upshur County, Northeast Texas, just been raining since yesterday. It keeps saying Wintry Mix, but it is just a light rain with nothing. Temp says 32. Looks like we are not going to get anything and we cancelled school for this. Was looking forward to some winter weather.

You know I wasn't overly impressed last night but man today yeah... This is definitely one of the biggest storms I've seen and it's not even over yet. It never stopped snowing til daybreak and like said above there's still a shot at another inch or two tonight. I don't think I have as much as the airport but it's very hard to tell because it's been blowing around :froze: :cold:

Snow coming to an end across NW Tarrant and Denton Co. About another 30-45 min for SE Tarrant and it will be over. Very heavy band of snow going through Arlington and mid-cities

Been snowing beautifully here for about an hour now..I was so afraid we'd miss out on the good stuff. This makes it worth it, we can actually enjoy it without having power outages. Now I've had my 30 minutes out in the snow, I'm ready for summer.

If only we would have had about 14 hrs. of this and not rain/sleet. It's coming down.

Finally starting to see snow mixed in with the sleet, but it's very little so far.

Finally got this to work, always so difficult.

This was fairly early in the snow.

Enjoy that snow while it lasts, metroplex pals. I've been sitting here with nothing but sleet even when I woke up 4 hours ago. And it looks no different than snow. Radar says I should be getting snow but that stupid warm nose is just too consistent.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Both GEFS and EPS digs a trough in the same place we are seeing now with PV lobe Valentines week. Look for a similar set up to appear on the guidance. We've had slow hints but the ensembles are now zoning in on it.

Yeah had the same issue around here last night for awhile. The warm nose was definitely pesky. Radar was snow but so many reports of sleet heck I was even mixing with sleet for an hour or two
