Does the HRRR look to weaken the storms as they approach DFW (mostly north DFW) then blow up just east again or are my eyes deceiving me?

They were very close to the triple point. The dynamics were definitely strong out that way.

What may (and I emphasize may) save us across eastern SC and Central TX from a more substantial tornado risk is that storms are rapidly developing, but in more of a linear form out ahead of the dryline. Still big hail threat and eventually evolves into a damaging wind threat further east with embedded tornadoes still possible.

I will say the one in eastern Bexar is a monster and a few more developing on the southern end need to be watched closely.
