All I can say is WOW. You'd think a place like Miami would be able to handle 10" but I guess not if the surrounding area was already saturated. That
looks more like the Texas coast after a hurricane!

Wow that's some crazy flooding in Miami Hopefully everyone there is ok. Goes to show how even the weakest/sloppiest of storms can still be a nightmare

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

997.6 was lowest pressure recorded in my Port St. Lucie backyard. Nailed the center lol

Too disorganized still. There are multiple circulations embedded in a gigantic, broad circulation. It needs a miracle to tighten up into a TC.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Re: ATL: ONE- Potential Tropical Cyclone
Many storms have been tropical storms that had many centers. The fact that this seems to have westerly winds and is closed with this level of wind means it is probably deserving of an upgrade to tropical storm. A weird tropical storm but one none the less. The one thing I'd argue that strengthens the case is the main circ is the object that the weaker ones go around and also the one with lowest pressure...If this isn't enough then tons of systems with vortices are also not deserving of their upgrade.

Yet another reminder that the heavy rain threat from tropical systems is the one hazard that is not correlated to strength. My heaviest rain event in over 2 decades living in the bay area was from Debbie (2012)...and it fell the day before the system was named.
