Euro and GFS cranking up the heat this weekend. 105+ is record territory for mid June.

A lot of the June records are held by 1911 and 1980 for DFW.

Seems like that I got out of DFW before the Heatwave. This is going to be really bad.

It seems like that Heat Miser is finally getting his revenge after the the double trouble extreme colds in February 2021 and 2022.

There's a warm front boundary in southern Oklahoma. They are more likely to travel w-e along the boundary. Also the further away they get from it the more likely they are to weaken.

Ntxw mentioned of a boundary in Southern Oklahoma, I'm under a Flash Flood Warning for a LOT of rainfall. I hope that Oklahoma can help build a favorable area for Summertime Popcorn Storms to eventually spread into Texas.

Yeah we literally don't need more rain. Had 9 inches in May alone and some places had more and it hasn't stopped yet. It's just amazing the contrast to down south. I wish we could spread the wealth but it looks like even up here we flip to hot and dry next week

Euro and GFS today are trying to push upper 100s for DFW and west/south Sunday. Would shatter many records and close to decadal highs. PVa heads to the northern plains. The rest of the Great Plains will heat up as well. Rooting for the under.

The ridge over Texas created a highway above it for shortwaves to cross it. At some point this will continue to migrate North. A few weeks ago the Red River areas were in this zone. Eventually with the expanding ridge the roadway for the rains will be in the northern plains.

Ensembles are in pretty good agreement that we will see a slug of tropical moisture left northwards out of the CAG towards Texas in the long range. Will that be an organized tropical system or just a bunch of rain?
