Do you have the exact time?

I keep my wristwatch set for the exact time as much as possible, same with my clock on my bedside table.

How about you? :)

I try too BUT...NO ONE seems to have the EXACT time, you watch TWC, it's a different time, you call for the time and temp, it's different, the local news is off from TWC and time and temp......so who DOES have the EXACT time and do we REALLY know the EXACT time??

Let's see. Computer is set to automatically connect to a time server and reset the clock. I also have a "Radio-controlled" alarm clock that gets a signal from somewhere in Colorado and automatically resets itself. I like to be punctual. In fact, if I can't be early, then I feel like I am late. I was brought up that way, and it ain't fashionable to be late.

Tom - what a funny topic! The reason I'm laughing is because my mom, bless her heart, doesn't own one clock set to the correct time. She lives in a small one bedroom apartment with about 10 clocks. Yes, she's into clocks but on average they're all set about 30 minutes ahead. But not exactly, some 25 minutes ahead, some 35.......never on time! When we visit we rely upon our watches to determine the correct time. Have no idea how she doesn't miss a TV show....LOL

Me? I like the bedroom clock set a few minutes fast, less than 5 though. My kids are used to digital readouts so I have give time that way otherwise they get very confused. I can say it's half past 3 o'clock, or 15 minutes until 5. They say - huh? It's has to be 3:15 or 4:45 instead. LOL

Good topic! Even if it's about something we all take for granted.

In my house if we ever want the exact time, we look at the VCR.

Our cable tv converter boxes are synchronized. They always agree with the clocks on CNN, the weather channel, etc. We set our other clocks to that. I think that the battery in this computer is going because it's always slow, like me.

I am often a bit late for things. I often feel over committed and get a bad attitude that if someone wants something from me they can afford to wait for it.

Sounds like "Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is?" by Chicago!

I try to have them set as close to actual as possible. I also use my cable box and my local news radio station for the exact time. I almost hate it when you have to change the clocks because I swear that you can't get them all in sync until a month later! I hate to be late also. Marty, the ultimate procrastinator is ALWAYS LATE (except for business). The joke is that he'll be late for his own funeral, and I'll make sure of that too!!!

Ed - now what am I waiting for???

Marty is very funny but serious, a perfectionist, private, intense and someone you definately want to have on your side! He's naturally suspicious of everyone and can be very sarcastic. I believe there's insecurity there because he makes fun of the people that loves him the most, but I believe it is so he can feel like he's in control (I know better!  ). He's a great father, an animal lover, loves his family, karate and his motorcycle.

I have an atomic clock in my office. It is supposed to be correct within 2 seconds every day.

Assuming of course that I keep batteries in it.

I put one in at work, too, so employees wouldn't cheat on their timecards. They have so much fun, though, that they love coming to work and hate to leave (am I full of BS or what?)

I do set all other clocks to the atomic one, though.

Probably the only truly accurate clock in my house is in my bedroom...my digital-reflecting atomic clock. :) The clock gets reset from out of Denver.

I wake up to the official clock in atomic clock in Colorado. I too have one of those that resets automatically. My watches are set fast and our other clocks are set close as possible within human limits and mechanical whatnots that may happen to make them slow or fast. NOW, about that being fashionably late.... :D

I have two digital clocks, both get the signal from the Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. They are a part of my weather stations that have the outdoor/indoor temperature, one has the outdoor/indoor humidity (which isn't really accurate), and one has a barometric pressure trend arrow, but the newer one has the actual pressure reading and the trend arrow.

They are a few seconds apart.

The Weather Channel, Fox New Channel and other television/cable networks. There are a few shows on some channels that don't start at the exact time for some annoying reason. :)
