Re: How many named storms will form in September?
I'm going out on a limb and saying 7+ NS. I can imagine September 2022 rebounding after the quiet August much like 2018 did.
Would be quite the streak if this becomes the fifth year in a row with 7+ named storms in September.

I voted 5. My confidence on that number is dropping. I have to remind myself that if/when conditions improve it's usually fast and catches people off guard.

Yep. I think 2022 will go down as one of the drier seasons we have had in a really long time...... I still think 2 for September

Re: How many named storms will form in September?
Seeing how much of a BUST my August prediction of 5 named storms when we are currently on the brink of having zero. I needed everyday possible before voting lol
Im going with SEVEN OR MORE. Lets see if this season can somehow salvage itself still despite the 59+ day break between storms, however we have 2 cherries and an orange out there so it looks like we are at the end of this hiatus. Its going to take some significant activity in the SON period if the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season wants to finish above average lol

It would be quite the spectacle to see 8 or more NSs happen this September alone lol

Voted 5. I think we'll see 93L become Danielle in the next day or two, and likely see 2-3 MDR storms and 1-2 additional storms elsewhere. I think we'll see at least one major hurricane.

Kind of an interesting bit on that, 1984 had 9 storms between Aug 28 and Sep 25 so just push that back four days

That's quite a random time.

Yesterday I voted six NS.
With 4 hurricanes
And 2 majors.
with a long lived and devastating C5 hurricane after Sept 15.

Well, with 91L likely becoming TS Earl next advisory, looks like we already have our second voting option out.
