As i said before I support the Death Penalty if there is doubt in the world that they have the correct perpetrators.

This may be off Topic a bit but of those that do not support the Death Penalty what do u think a reasonable punishment for the DC Spipers should be if found guilty.

The only other choice would be that we, the taxpayers must house, feed, clothe them and let them live out the remainder of their lives inside prison walls.

That would cost a hefty fortune...a lethal injection is MUCH cheaper.

For the DC snipers, dealth is the appropriate penalty for both. I wish it could be slow and painful.....

NC just executed it's 6th death row inmate of the year this past late Thursday night/early Friday morning...John Dennis Daniels for the 1990 murder and robbery of his aunt in Mecklenburg County. He strangled her with an electrical cord.

I'm for the death penalty and it IS Biblical.

The Pope should be for the death penalty, then.

Sure, it's a Roman Catholic deal, and Roman Catholics among other religions go by the Bible.

Don't worry, Tom - I will be one of the few who agrees with you. Regardless of what my religious beliefs are, I just don't like the idea of capital punishment.

But the cost for all the appeals of death row inmates can cost more than a life sentence.

If they weren't provided with so darn many luxuries, it *could* be cheaper than it is now. Give them a small cell with a bed, a toilet, and a sink. Throw in a handful of pants, shirts, socks, underwear, shoes, sheets, towel, and pillow. Feed them basic meals made from the four basic food groups. Nothing special, nothing that requires alot of work. Canned veggies and canned stews or soups -- open can, pour contents into pot, heat, and serve. Rotate duties throughout the cell blocks so that once a month, they are released from their cells to either do laundry, dishes, or cook. And of course, they can be released from their cell once a week to have a shower. Otherwise, they can wash up at the sink in their cell.

No weightlifting, no gym, no TV, no music, no basketball court, no conjugal visits. No smoking, no drugs, no contact with other inmates. And the ones who are there for life get no family visits and no possibility for parole...ever.

Humanity, along the ages, have created a system of laws to pull apart
its human drives from the judgment, otherwise justice became simply revenge, the concept of an eye for an eye (and a tooth for a tooth).
That's why I'm against death penalty.
The society shall not look for revenge. It shall fight everyday to cure its own evils, and often, this would mean fighting itself.

Not worrying, John. :) I think it is worth stating. There are issues in our own religions that we disagree with. I find it difficult to understand why we can have opinion on things, but they are wrong.

In cass of treason, the guilty must die, plain and simple. The most serious crime deserves the most serious of punishment
