Real Or Fake?

#1 Postby chadtm80 » Sat Nov 15, 2003 10:52 am

Do you get a real christmas tree? Or do you use a fake one?

We always get a real one.. Nothing compares to the smell of a freshly cut christmas tree :D

Can't agree with you more on the smell of a real one!! However, doctors orders are fake tree. It's called allergies!!! I still cherish the times we went and cut our own tree down in the woods of North FL as a child and the times we did it at the Christmas tree farms outside of Houston as a family here. Of course, the last time we did that here 3 of the 4 of us got sick. Since then. about 14 years ago it has been fake trees. Our current tree even has the lights already installed. Susan couldn't stand waiting the two hours it would take to get them done when I did it!!!LOL!!!

We have a pre-lit tree, too, David. :) No more lighting hassle.

I have always had a real tree. But, I have found a fake one this year that is beautiful. It is a 7ft. Fiber Optic tree. So, fake this year with some Rosemary nearby to put the real smell in the air.

I saw one of those fiber obtics trees yesterday, if I could pick which type of fake tree I'd get, I'd get that one.

we have some crappy 6 footer, where the branches and needles look so fake its not even funny.

Always grew up with a fake Christmas Tree... grew up with a couple of them over the years in Massachusetts, now here in Florida have a small one.

Lyle, it was the way Chad worded it. Anyone one of us may think or would think of that at a certain moment.

The fiber optic effect is really cool. :) Mom has a Poinsettia one that she sets out every year as part of the great room decor.

real tree

#20 Postby sunnyday » Sat Nov 15, 2003 5:00 pm

I love the smell of a real tree! Two years ago, I came home from work and found a snake under the tree. Turns out sometimes they get in the trees and then fall out. Yucky! lol
