To make matters worse, the QPF in SE Texas is trending drier.

Non-event for San Antonio metro. 20 inches below normals, heading for our driest year...ever.

Looks like Comal County picked up 0.25-0.5 at least.

@SouthTexasStorms nailed the forecast down here

I wish I was wrong...this is like a nightmare that won't end!

Thankfully it looks like SA will have a better chance to pick up some much needed rainfall with the Friday disturbance as it will likely track farther south than yesterday's low.

Made it to the north side of town, which is what most models showed. Hopefully the Friday event can reach areas that missed out on this event.

I am in Lumberton, Tx and we have a football game Friday night. They are talking about moving the game to Thursday. What kinda of rain event will it be?

Right now it's looking like widespread showers and thunderstorms will impact your area Friday afternoon and evening. 1-2 inches of rain along with a few strong storms will be possible. Probably nothing too crazy.

WPC looking really good. This would get many areas of North Central Texas up near normal for October.

At least the moisture my way ( Houston) is all liquid. Not sure about up your way. I would assume liquid

This sudden shift does make me wonder about those with "cycling" hypotheses of the weather. It is a suddenly different pattern right when they said a new one would start. Still skeptical you can tie everything that happens to a repeating cycle. But, they often do seem to nail things.

Anyway, I will be shockingly close to or slightly above normal if we get another 2 inches. Quite the turnaround.

Things look interesting mid-November on, contrary to the usual hot/dry CPC forecasts.

Just rain, the lowest temperature is in the lower 40s for my area. Low 50s/upper 40s as the lowest for DFW.

Guess I shouldn't complain, but the southern/western half of the state is getting left out again.

0.8" (probably more like 0.25" let's be real) won't do much when you're 20 inches below normals.

I think this time around your area will see a better chance for rain. Still won’t do much to improve the drought but it’ll help a lil bit. I’m over 20” below normal myself.

The local weather guy here Zach Shields said this morning that if we can get these systems to come in and drop an inch of rain each week for 12 weeks, we'd be caught up.

But maybe 20 weeks in SA.

Watch when it does start raining (maybe next year or the year after), SA will be 20” above normal lol
