Significant break in the huge line on radar right over Bexar County. Already passed through now.

Oh well, better than nothing. La Nina suckssss. So over it.

The San Antonio Force Field lives on! :spam:

Just to SA's north, I got a line of strong storms with mostly a few close lightning strikes and some heavy rain, and a couple little gusts. 1.25" in the gauge now, and still raining. 60 degrees!

SA's cursed this year. That sucks.

Yeah there's no other way to explain how the heaviest rain misses SA during every event this year. It's unbelievably unlucky. That's why it's likely going to be the driest year on record at the airport. Just can't catch a break in 2022.

On the flip side, DFW is getting absolutely drenched right now!

I did not get much, only .2 inches. But the it's Texas' turn for the bulk of the rainfall!

DFW has cashed in on the past several rain events. It's time to share with parched SA!

Radar looks impressive, but ground truth - at least here in North Dallas - is telling a different story.

It's been raining steadily (but nothing I'd call heavy) since just after 7:00 this morning. 0.41" IMBY since then. Happy to have it, but looking at the radar it seems like the brightest returns are past my area. Still happy to have the rain, and after 2.61" on Monday night it's been a great week.

Just not sure I believe the 2"+ the models are spitting out for today.

The upper low is still out in West Texas. Hi-res models show pretty steady rain across North Texas today, with intensity increasing this afternoon as the ULL moves in and across the area.

Well if I can get at least a half inch outta today I’ll take it. I’m pretty much already over this event though. I’ve already shifted my focus to Tuesday. 0z Euro crushes my area on Tuesday but I doubt it happens but I’m hopeful lol

Up to 1.50 IMBY already.

Rain shield is pulling away from this first round.

However, odd question, radar shows WIDESPREAD 80 mph winds around Grapevine and Southlake. This can't be legit, right? No warnings or anything issued....

I will say it is WINDY here in north Fort Worth/Keller, but not that windy.

Yeah pretty windy here in Irving. Loving this weather. I'm only a few miles from Grapevine so 80 mph can't be correct.

1.68" here - rain really picked up shortly after I'd written it off for the day. Got pretty breezy here on the backside of the rain shield.

1.75" here to go with 2.5" from Monday and it looks like another 1"+ is on tap for much of DFW later today. DFW is at 1.50" putting the airport right on avg for October.

We need this type of setup in late January early February... :froze:

I thought I read somewhere that there was a confirmed EF0 or EF1 in Grapevine. Is that incorrect?
Thankfully we just had about 1.5" here in Houston, which at my house is the most we have had in 2 months.

59 degrees at 3:30pm. The highest temp today was 67, and that was at midnight (on my weather station).

Rained earlier, and I have the windows open! :D Don't do that very often here. Beautiful Fall Weather!

This storm would have been a good snow setup for those of you in north Texas. If this was happening in December-February.With a cold core directly over you.And a trowal of heavy snow wrapping around the low.But because its October today that cold core and trowal consist of moderate rain instead.
