Not really seeing cells yet, sorta a weak line?

Those are probably elevated based on the 15z special from FWD.

Models SERIOUSLY underestimated that snow band in Amarillo. I had seen it a few times on the NAM but I didn't expect to do much. Crazy texas weather today for sure :spam:

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

These junk storms that have quickly developed from Meridian to north of Lake Texoma, well ahead of the front, could have potential for significant tornado risk in DFW from here on out? Discreet pre tends to scare me more than the fronts.

Assuming so, I went ahead and put on shoes (we never wear them in the house) and cleaned out the closet under the stairs this morning. Come at me bro.

(Actually don't. Go somewhere else.)

Tornado Watch up for Oklahoma and Texas, it's not a PDS, but likely close.

Wow, just plugged in our emergency backup phone that I haven't charged or even turned on in 6 months. Battery showed 84% charged as soon as I plugged it in. Excellent standby, I'd say.

Also interesting is how big they made the OK tor warn box.

It's just a silly question, but is the emergency backup phone a Nokia?

DFW airport and then Collin County need to watch that. It will hook right at some point here soon.

Cells going up down near Waco will also be an issue for DFW.

Looks like it's trying to develop a bit of aa hook, so wouldn't be surprised to see a Tornado with this one before long.
