@CC_StormWatch — Debris has been launched at least 20,000 feet, possibly close to 30,000 feet (but that cannot be confirmed due to the distant coverage), from the Sumner/Honey Grove #tornado. That is a clear sign of an intense tornado capable of violent damage. #TXwx #OKwx #texomawx

@CC_StormWatch — This intense and extremely dangerous #tornado is crossing the Red River near the US 271 bridge. Anyone in Grant or Hugo needs to get into a very strong shelter NOW with helmets on. This is an emergency situation. #OKwx #texomawx

National Weather Service Fort Worth TX
507 PM CDT Fri Nov 4 2022

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Hunt County in north central Texas...
Southwestern Hopkins County in north central Texas...
Northwestern Rains County in north central Texas...

* Until 530 PM CDT.

* At 506 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Point, or 17
miles southeast of Greenville, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. Trained spotters have
reported a tornado in northern Rains County.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Sulphur Springs, Emory, East Tawakoni, Point, Cumby, Cooper Lake
State Park, Lake Sulphur Springs, Cooper Lake, Lone Oak, Martin
Springs, New Birthright, Ridgeway, Hermits Cove and Peerless.

This includes Interstate 30 between mile markers 109 and 135.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid
windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move
to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying
debris.

HOPKINS COUNTY...

At 519 PM CDT, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located near Cumby, or 8 miles southwest of Sulphur Springs, moving
northeast at 50 mph.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado still on ground.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.

tornado was spotted heading for Sulphur Springs.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris

homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete
destruction is possible.
