O.K.....I admit it.....my trees are artificial. Used to only use fresh trees......(mmmmm.....those Frasier are wonderful; the "Cadillac" of trees!) and I used small Hemlock on both the front and back sun-porches......but last year I broke down and bought an artificial for the living room. This afternoon I purchased 2 little fake 4 footers for the porches because I'm anxious to get them all up!
I've been decorating customer homes for over forty years......so it'll be exciting to get mine done early! I bought fresh cedar roping for over the fireplace and outside.......and a 30# box of fresh mixed greens to make arrangements thruout the house.......LOVE this season!!.......p

i would have been screaming sunnyday.
well 9 years ago my husband talked me into it because of all the needles falling everywhere. i do not like fake trees and want a real one back, but the one we did get is beautiful and so full. it looks just as good as the year we bought it and it was the display.
hey guys with a fake trees they have spray that u can buy and every year we spray the tree and it keeps its scent.

Fake, I have allergies too and even if I didn't We put our tree up sooo early that it wouldn't look to good after a while..
Tony's mother gave us a tree and we gave our old one to my mother..the one We got from tony's mom
..you would never be able to tell it was fake. Maybe thats why she paid over $300 dollars for it

I haven't even seen a fiber optic tree in someones house before! I think they are sooo pretty in the catalogs though!!
This was a hard question to anwser since I have two families (divorce will do that!) Since I live with my mom I anwsered for this household, which is fake, we have a HUGE fake tree because our ceiling is 15 ft and we can!
At my dad's house, we get a real tree every year though, so I get a bit of both! I tell ya though, it is plenty easier to clean up the fake!

When the price of real trees started jumping toward $40 back in Illinois, I did the math. An artificial tree bought AFTER Christmas at half price would pay for itself in 3 years or less.
So artificial it has been since the early 1990's.
But our Christmas spirit (with the exception of last year) is always alive and well.

I have to admit that when I first opened this post, I thought perhaps it was referring to the status of our breasts!!!
Here in Scottsdale (AKA Snotsdale) Arizona, it is common to give high school graduates breast implants for graduation (mostly for the girls, I hope!).
For the record, mine are real but our tree is not.

ROFLMAO..

I always have a real one! I would rather not get any gifts than have a fake tree. Need to smell that smell... it just takes me right back to childhood and the excitement of christmass. I want my kids to enjoy the same tradition I did growing up.
This year hubby has ordered a whole truck load of tress to sell at the nursery... I get the pick of the crop, and we have an a frame house with gigantic ceilings... so the sky is the limit for my tree this year (now I just have to save up money for ornaments!)
