Not yet. They kept it at 70mph but expect it to be a hurricane soon and at Florida landfall.

Should start seeing a bend to the WNW when gets to about 78W

That would give it a landfall approximately around Jupiter/SE Martin County?

Always heed the advice of the NHC, NOAA, local weather officials, etc. rather than my completely amateur S FL opinion :sun:

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

Tomorrow morning the videos are going to be horrific, at least 24 more hours of heavy surf eating up the beach.

HWRF is showing strongest winds onshore as far north as Melbourne after landfall.

Man... we dodged one with Dorian. But not to forget it stalled over the Bahamas and God bless them. I remember being on Snapchat and clicking on the public snaps uploaded from where the storm stalled out there... Horrfying.

Wow, I was last there in the Daytona/Ormond area about 8 years ago, and even then, the effects of high tides had clearly ravaged the beach.

Using the interactive map, it seems Nicole is planning to pass 1 mile or so south of neighborhood (barring wobbles and slight adjustments). Hoping for the best!

"Big-Ass tower"...Is that an official NHC term? LOL. I agree with you that she's doing her best to strengthen.
