Never seen such a list. Every year on that list brings very cold, or severe cold weather late December and/or early January. Them big dogs.

Why do I get the Ice Storm instead of the Snowstorm on the same general day on the 18z GFS compared to the 12z GFS? :spam:

I think the GFS is still struggling with the magnitude of this pattern

You will have runs where the guidance will hold up the cold because of SW flow (source for moisture).

18z GEFS has a snowfall signal for Southern Texas and along I-10 from El Paso to Shreveport, LA this coming late week. What is this?

Well that 18z GFS run would certainly be magical here. Unfortunately for me it does look like this pattern favors suppression so I think the southern half of Oklahoma and Texas will cash in this time. Probably need to get hit on the front or back end of the cold. After that it's hopefully getting nickel and dimed by "cutters" swinging south for me.

You’ll likely get many more chances this year whereas we are so limited in our opportunities so I love your southern Oklahoma Texas outlook.

Yeah. Me neither. It’s like playing Madden with the best players of all time. I’m shocked at the years and month. So shocked I got a cord of firewood delivered yesterday.

Thanks to Y'all and with the help on the models. Me, my mother, and grandmother are planning to stock up and winterize the house for the upcoming event that is projected to last a long while.

The sad part is that I may not be able to go to Missouri because of this, but safety first!

So would it be safe to say I should have my pool servicing company go ahead and drain my equipment this week to beat the rush?
Everything on mine was ruined in 2021 so it's all new-I'd hate to have to go through that replacement expense again. :red:

Ugh. This is off topic, but I’m hearing reports Mike Leach, head football coach at MSU, may have just passed.

Really, really liked the guy!
