Almost 100k without power with Oncor in Fort Worth. Could easily see 200k out total in the metroplex.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Several power flashes south-southwest of downtown on the Dealy Plaza cam. Ground level, not lightning.

Edit: More power flashes a few minutes later, same area. Now another one due south of downtown.

It's much cooler behind it went from near 80 to mid 50s, winds are still elevated (gradient) 40-50mph still.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
That was the craziest squall line I've ever experienced here in power and duration. There were power flashes all over the place. Roof tiles are all over the ground. It's still crazy out there almost an hour after it started.

The line over Dallas doesn’t look impressive on radar. Much stronger further south.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
This is from a FB video in my neighborhood. Just to the north there was a huge area of dust with power flashes. Maybe a microburst?
Lots of homes with hefty shingle damage.
Strongest storm I’ve had here. Phew. I usually pooh-pooh squall lines. But wow.
Fox just showed this same thing we saw here. They say it may be a gustnado.

There was a segment of the line, several people have posted clips. It roughly was the area northeast Tarrant to NW Dallas county that eventually prompted the warning in Dallas as it moved SE. Might have been the dust we saw being picked up as result.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Saw a couple of power flashes, but peak intensity, at least out here, didn't warrant 20 minutes of tornado sirens. I will say that the duration has been impressive and more in line with a strong tropical storm/weak hurricane than the typical hit and run NTX squall line.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Storm keeps rolling east. 70 mph gust reported at Greenville, just saw vid from there of a 40' tree blown over and then all the power went down.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Fort Worth photographer Brian Luenser said it was the most intense winds he ever felt, and he used to skydive. He felt it 300 feet up in his condo.
