Re: Texas Spring 2023
Winds are starting to roll through Northern Bexar County. Pretty stiff winds too. Car alarms going off and blue flashes in the distance.

Same here, except on the colder side and no severe weather.

Photos of a possible tornado in Weatherford and video in Northlake as well.
It does appear like it was stronger in Tarrant that Dallas.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
We were severe-warned with 70mph gusts and quarter hail in Cedar Park. What transpired was lots of initial winds, maybe 50 to 60mph gusts(?). Off and on hard and lighter rain and lightning. No hail. I'm good it wasn't that severe!
60 degrees!

Lots of homes with hefty shingle damage.
Strongest storm I’ve had here. Phew. I usually pooh-pooh squall lines. But wow.
Fox just showed this same thing we saw here. They say it may be a gustnado.

What direction is that looking? We are at Basswood and Park Vista and it was the craziest wind I have seen. Part of the Park Glen Neighborhood is without power and there are tree branches down all over. My street is blocked from a down tree.

I’m off Basswood also but just barely west of 35. It’s looking north toward 287.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Just when I thought we got the “San Antonio Split”, we end up getting some action. Rain has came in gone IMBY. Only lasted for about 5 minutes. Lights flickered but that’s about it.
Further south, significant hail along the U.S. Highway 90 West/Interstate 10 East Corridor from Loop 1604 West to Downtown. Eastside is getting it now as well. Radar estimates up to 2.5” hail.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Numerous reports of wind gust up to 60mph (although seeing some wind damage reports coming in with downed power lines and trees from NWS). So far hail reports have been golf ball or below across San Antonio Metro.

Judging by radar it probably was a fair bit stronger in tarrant than Dallas, and the amount of SPC reports out of each county seem to reflect that too. I’m not too far down the road from Love Field where the 76mph gust was measured though, and it definitely wasn’t weak here though. I’ve seen a lot of squall lines from this location, and it’s been while since I’ve seen that many transformers blow from non-tornadic winds

Was the first time when y'all recorded that tornado and NWS told y'all to shove it?
ETA: IIRC, I thought it was a legit tornado.
