I was just about to talk about this!! I think the Alamodome has vents on its roof, so the hail might’ve came in through there.

Parts of DFW is basically under a boil order, because a water treatment facility is without power.

My parents live on Caddo Lake, in Uncertain bordering Karnack. They are ok but without power. Lots of very tall trees where they live.

The mid March frame is closing in on 7-10 days and the latest runs have been meh. Euro trended more east with the trof while the GFS and Canadian are east too. Below normal and cold for the period for sure, but averages are up. Hope it trends the other direction for a week out forecast.

For mid March you need -30F+ below normal (records) to get a day below freezing. Moral of the story is fighting climo.

Given that this period is the start of spring break for most college students (myself included), I would say there is a 95% chance it's going to be chilly. :)

So looking at our roof, lots of shingles lost, but they are cheap builder-grade trash they put when the house was built.

Graphic from FW. We have seen several of these type of events of recent when collapsing linear mode is able to produce downbursts of very strong straight line winds in N and Central Texas. If you remember something similar happened in the eastern zones (collapsing crane on condo in June 2019 Dallas.) It can get wild when these lines of thunderstorms weaken over you.

Um, so this is the apparent tornado that hit just north of me that I was talking about.

I saw this looking out my front yard and didn't even know it. Assumed microburst mistakenly.
