That's right across 35 from where I live. No wonder it was so crazy here. I saw a bunch of power flashes on that side of 35 as the storm approached.

Sooooo... Is it too early for weed and feed in ETX? What about buying some new potted plants for the front patio?

Asking for a friend.

I'd wait until another week. Could probably weed and feed. Perhaps a light freeze or two but nothing prolonged, as in earlier post it takes something historic to get 24+ consecutive hours below freezing in mid March.

I was looking at RadarScope in different modes trying to suss out some circulation when this spin up decided to visit living things after it went to target. It looked like it was all straight line on radar.

I was looking out of my window to the southwest and couldn’t see anything either.

With all the flooding and rapid drought improvement in California and the southwest recently, I’m wondering what downstream impacts that will have for future systems that will come to us over the next couple of months. Makes me think capping might not be as much of a detriment to severe weather setups. Any thoughts?

Tippett's work is solid. His group thinks it will be an active Southern Plains season.

It's 73.5 in my office and 73.4 outside as of 1:30pm. Heading out for a long bike ride. Long-range GFS indicating possible mid 30s around the 18th (winter's last gasp). Highs only in the 50s for a couple of days.

Oh no, I don't like that. This could be the most active spring since 2019.

And a lot of rain too, WPC has flooding concerns already for D4 and D5 for Northern Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Well, I'd rather have that if we need to prevent a freeze-kill of the grass and some of the trees.
