Dallas Area under Flu Advisory
Dallas County, TX has been issued a Flu Advisory after 400 cases were reported (181 children) and 1 person died possibly from complications of that flu.

Tom - I do not like needles, but after I got a very bad case of the flu a few winters ago, I have summoned up the courage each year since then to get the flu shot. And in many cases when people say they got sick because of the flu shot, it was really something that they already had in their system that coincidentally starting showing the symptoms within a few days of getting the shot. Besides, it takes 3 to 6 weeks before the flu shot provides protection to you - so someone can still contract the flu within a week or two after they get the shot.
