...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT FOR EAST
CENTRAL SMITH COUNTY...

At 709 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Tyler, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. At 705 PM CDT, damage
was reported by spotters near Tyler Junior College and a
tornado near UT Health Hospital.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Tyler and New Chapel Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

COUNTIES...

At 753 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Big Sandy, or 9
miles west of Gladewater, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement confirmed tornado. At 750 PM CDT, fire
department personnel reported a tornado at Highway 155 and
Highway 271 about to cross Interstate 20.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Gladewater, Big Sandy, Clarksville City and Winona.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Bexar County in south central Texas...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 700 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
San Antonio, Live Oak, San Antonio Int Airport, Stinson Municipal
Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch, Kirby, Alamo
Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, Bulverde, Shavano Park,
Hollywood Park, Cross Mountain, Olmos Park, China Grove, Lackland
AFB, Sea World and The Dominion.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Wow. What a storm that moved through SA metro. Hail and high wind along with several inches of rain. Just to give you an idea this was taken in the Alamo Ranch area (far western SA/ Bexar County) where I live by a local media employee.

Odd little setup over DFW with the big airport approaching 1" but Love only at 0.05" and areas north of the airport with even less.

It is strange. I've been getting quick bursts of heavy rain for a couple hours now. Wife says dime size hail at her sister's house in Irving, near Story and Finley roads. Pouring rain as I type. Oh boy here comes the hail here. It is getting loud!!!!

News saying we could stay in the 40s a day or two next week if the rain is widespread enough :double: our coldest high this month has been 62

I've had about four bouts of rain, though only a little over an inch and twice was hail, largest recently up to marble.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Hunter, Freiheit and Gruene.
