Easterly shear (mostly at mid-levels) still an issue here but it should subside soon.

Looks a lot weaker than 100 mph, to me. Barely an eye on microwave imagery.

Are there any observations out of Diego Garcia? The British Indian Ocean Territory is rarely struck by storms - I can’t even find the last significant storm there. Anybody know?

JTWC's prognostic reasoning mentions all the reasons why Fabien has weakened significantly and then they keep wind at 90 kts. Looks like Fabian is barely 65 kts, if that. Fading fast.
