Maybe she is thinking more like a “Summer-like” pattern, but she forgot to say that?

It looks like the Panhandles will continue their epic run. Storm chasers have been basically trapped in Eastern New Mexico and the Panhandles with this pattern, but maybe we see some changes as we move into June.

Amarillo ended May at 7.36". YTD they're over 3x what they were this time last year. They are/were due!

Such a unique pattern. Any analogs for this pattern? Best to look at oncoming el nino years? With the high in Canada, it's keeping the US from getting any sort of heatwave.
Been rain or the threat of rain everyday here in Denver. People are loving it. Mountains are incredibly green.

Wow, 7 inches in Amarillo would be like 30 in Houston.

That’s a lot!

When I lived in West Texas in Midland, we only averaged like 12 inches for the entire year. It was awful. Amarillo gets more due to its higher latitude, but that’s still insane.

That storm became severe over Moore. I was at an event when a Storm barely missed us to the West.

Got hit with another storm on the way home, those raindrops were huge.

Nice line around Abilene but outflow ahead means no luck for DFW probably.

Starting to get dry here again and we finished May way below normal on rainfall... Yay

Very unexpected MCS just blasted SA with 50-60 mph wind gusts! No models indicated it reaching that far east.

That's awesome! June looks to continue to be wet for areas that really need the rain, esp. with regard to filling up lakes.

Models looked pretty good for DFW last night, but the MCS spit an outflow just west of Ft. Worth and collapsed, as expected lol

Finally got some rain today, 0.7". Hope we can get something tomorrow too, because it looks to dry up again after that!

Boy did it rain for a time tonight at least where I was... There was a couple moments you could barely see in front of you on the highway and I saw several cars pulled over with their flashers on... Haven't seen rain like that in weeks
