I know we need the snowpack but for crips sake, NOT ALL AT ONCE! Now mind you, I'm REALLY not complaining HOWEVER, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH "LOL!" :lol:

.DISCUSSION...THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THINGS TO WATCH THIS MORNING.
THE FIRST IS THAT THE UPPER LOW IS STILL OVER WEST-CENTRAL ARIZONA
AND WILL TAKE ALL DAY TO CLEAR THE STATE. THE AIRMASS NORTH AND EAST
OF THE LOW IS VERY UNSTABLE...AND THERE IS PLENTY OF LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE TO WORK WITH. EASTERLY WINDS ARE CURRENTLY PUSHING QUITE A
BIT OF MOISTURE THROUGH THE LCR...AND THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE
MOGOLLON RIM WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED FOR SNOW BAND DEVELOPMENT.
CURRENT ZONES FEATURE HIGH SCATTERED POPS...AND THIS SEEMS GOOD FOR
NOW. THE NEXT THING TO WATCH OUT FOR IS THE STRONG SYSTEM MOVING
INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. THIS SYSTEM LOOKING MORE AND MORE LIKE
IT WILL NOT MOVE OUT INTO THE PACIFIC...BUT MAY IN FACT BE A WEATHER
MAKER HERE AS EARLY AS TUESDAY. MORE ON THIS IN THE AFTERNOON.

How bad are things in town? Is there any danger of avalanches - with this much snow in your area?

Keep us updated. How much snow have you received since all this snow started?

Well let's see Pat, I'm now at 51" here in town, over 118" up on top at Sunrise Park Resort. No, no avalanche warnings YET!

I just looked at the radar, the low is centered RIGHT on top us as I type this, the cyclonic rotation is WILD looking!

Ok Dennis - enough is enough - 51 inches and 118 on the mountain and you probably have more in the pipeline right?

Is this a heavy wet snow or a fluffy light weight snow? I'll beg for more pictures if the snow continues this week.

I think its a wet snow from what i remember. That stuff is sticking to all the trees. Dennis already lost two of his trees :(

Wow thats amazing to have that much snow. I think at one point you would just have to give up on shoveling and be homebound. Just watched the morning news and they are showing more systems moving across AZ and NM into Texas - this week - its like 3 or 4 systems this week.

No chance of us seeing the sun this week.

Well Folks, HERE WE GO AGAIN, "WOOOOHOOOOOO!" We NEED ALL the moisture we can get our hands on, the actual forecast snow fall from these 2 systems is anywhere from 6-10"!!!

220 PM MST MON MAR 03 2003

.SYNOPSIS...A WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVING NORTHWARD FROM THE PACIFIC
OCEAN WILL BRING A CHANCE FOR SNOW SHOWERS TO THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF
CENTRAL ARIZONA BY LATE TONIGHT. A SECOND DISTURBANCE MOVING THROUGH
CALIFORNIA WILL CONTINUE THE CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS
MUCH OF THE AREA TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. DRIER AND WARMER
CONDITIONS WILL RETURN TO THE STATE THURSDAY THROUGH NEXT MONDAY.

.DISCUSSION...MODERATELY STRONG SUB-TROPICAL DISTURBANCE WITH HUGE
BAND OF MID-LEVEL MOISTURE WILL THE FIRST ITEM ON THE MENU THIS

Here we GO AGAIN, WAAAAHOOOOO! Another 6" in the forecast for tonight. We lost over 7" yesterday due to the fact that this last system dumped the heavy wet kinda snow, talk about sloppy!

You're getting all kinds of dirty looks from the Gulf Coast folks! :D

I had my fill of snow my two years in Alaska! At least the snow should be good for the lakes and your ground water. Every bit helps :D
