Actually it’s mentioned quite a lot. You really think a group of client scientists with PH.D’s aren’t smart enough to factor that in? Come on, man. Get real. Have you taken the time to actually read the IPCC reports or are you just shooting from the hip here? Because if you really believe all of climate science is flawed because the UHI effect isn’t factored into the measurements and models, I’m gonna go out on a limb and conclude you haven’t.

Measurements are taken and derived from a number of methods. And besides, most of atmosphere is nowhere near cities - it’s over the ocean.

Models are showing 597-600dm+ heat ridge first in the southwest and bulging out into TX. This could push a heatwave second half of July, probably the worst of the season.

I consider a major heatwave being 105-110 in the Texas triangle cities.

Lets get back to the weather. We have a major heatwave on the horizon. With the already moist environment, we'll be pushing some record heat indices across the state with it.

Well, it's July in Texas. It's gonna be hot. Hopefully the pattern changes into August, but CPC says above normal temperatures are likely to continue. Our only saving grace (at least for the northern half of the state), is if we can keep getting some occasional rain. The CPC does hint at that possibility.

It still hasn't rained nearly as much here as down there and OKC but still the difference between here and some parts of Texas is pretty amazing. I mean this is one of the wettest Julys ever in OKC

But I'm betting even down there eventually especially towards fall and winter the El Nino and rainfall will take over

Nobody is “censoring” anybody. But we have threads dedicated to climate change so I think it’s OK for folks to politely remind us to stay on topic here and take those discussions to the relevant threads.

Carry on…

:uarrow: This guy gets it.

Won’t be long until night temps drop to 60’s. Then 50’s. Than a frost. 57 doesn’t think much of it until that wall crumples every decade or so.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Well so much for a nice complex. The end that would impact DFW is dissipating. Only the northern burbs look decent.
