The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced its 2004 concert lineup today. John Mayer kicks off RodeoHouston on March 2 and Willie Nelson closes the season on March 21. Performances begin at 7 p.m. on weekdays and at 4 p.m. on weekends. The grand entry, rodeo events and calf scramble precede the concert.

Monday, March 8 -- Enrique Iglesias (nope)
Tuesday, March 9 -- Alan Jackson (he's okay)
Wednesday, March 10 -- Vince Gill and Amy Grant (can I pay half-price since I only want to see Amy?)
Thursday, March 11 -- Clay Walker (eh)
Friday, March 12 -- Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, and Marty Stuart with Connie Smith (Wasn't HeeHaw canceled?)
Saturday, March 13 -- Randy Travis (eh)
Sunday, March 14 -- Go Tejano Day -- Bronco El Gigante de America and Jennifer Peña (no, pero gracias)

I don't much care for the guy because his songs are WAY overplayed on the radio here. But anyone who has never heard of him...that's just...whoa.

I am amazed though at how fast he's putting out albums. He's released like 3 in the last 2 years, with each having at least one hit single. Not too shabby.

LOL! Sorry! I know the big guys like Garth, Toby, Tim. But for the past few years, I don't listen to music on the radio much anymore just I guess I don't know the new artists. Just news.
Since I've been a fan of Amy Grant's for about 20 years now, I'm going to have to get used to Vince Gill. I really liked Gary and his music. I don't dislike Vince. I just never really got into his music or his voice. So it's going to be hard to hear him along with Amy Grant. IMO
