According to the past four hourly observations out of Houston Intercontinental, 2.97" of rain has fallen in the past few hours. That would cause some flooding IMHO. :o

This is since 6:04 AM CST on Saturday morning. Note the 9-10 inch totals near Houston and NW of Beaumont; as well as the 11-13" totals NNE of Bryan.

So far I haven't recieved a report of any in the house. Fortunately(except for the fact he missed school because of the flooding)my big strapping son has been at home with his Mom all afternoon being(as he told me)"the father taking care of things and watching the water". I was given instructions to call before I try to get home. As GD's post says all SBISD schools are under "shelter in place" which usually means the buses can't run or it is not safe to take the kids home on the buses if they can run. Should be an interesting attempt to get home tonight for all of us!!! I have the feeling I will have a lot more luck than GarnetCat5 will though. I know she is in one of the worst areas as far as flooding is concerned right now.
