more prelim reports posted

A couple more prelim reports have been posted to the NHC website: (officially upgraded) Hurricane Erika and Tropical Storm Mindy.

Currently available are the following reports:

TS Bill, HR Claudette, TD 6, HR Erika, TD 9, TS Henri, TD 14, HR Juan, and TS Mindy. Point your web browers to http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/2003atlan.shtml for these reports.

Hmm, I wonder why they say Tropical Storm Danny. It was obviously a hurricane during its lifetime. I mean, you could even see the eye on the visible shot.

I would have to agree that that is a typo ... In fact, Danny may have been a little bit stronger despite the high pressure reading (and not to mention the impressive satellite signature at one point with Danny) ... but likely, the winds remain the same ...
