I know just about enough to sound like I know what I'm talking about sometimes. But for your safety please follow the nhc for truly professional forecasting. :D

Very close to the radar site.
Spinning faster and staying offshore.
Moving somewhat SW

Developing TC in the yucatan channel staying in place under an anticyclone with no shear and lots of moisture.

IMO getting very close to the yucatan peninsula fast is the best FL can hope for.

Likely due to D-Min. TD 10 has definitely grown in size today.

Looks like this is moving due WSW and will likely be over land shortly. Hopefully this mitigates future landfall intensity.

Looks like #10's outflow is feeding Franks inflow - from its s.w.

Another factor is if this keeps getting pushed more south and ends up further south it gives it a better shot at landfall a bit further south when it's moving east of north.

You can see part of the LLC through the clouds @21N/86.5W moving barely to the WSW.

It will meander next 24 hours or so, don't get too caught up in these movements. All in the forecast.

Uhhh, this is TD 10 and not Hurricane Franklin?

I'm not trying to be rude or anything.

Weather balloon from Key West shows dry air at the 600mb to 400mb levels. This could be an inhibiting factor unless something changes in the next couple days.

S.W. Florida coastal areas has had dry sandy hot air in all 3 levels of atmosphere - all summer.

He was not referring to Franklin but he was referring to projected winds and location!

When morning comes we will see a CDO and be left guessing where this thing is. Radar and flight data should help though. I’ll be getting supplies tomorrow. Those water temps support RI like the Hafs is showing. When will they be doing flights and sampling the environment?
