Re: ATL: IDALIA - Models
I'd say it is becoming more likely that this turns towards the northeastern united states

Re: ATL: IDALIA - Models
So initially I thought that this would be a safe recurve on out to sea.
But then Idalia's like:

Would be especially wicked to see if Idalia actually ends up doing even more damage to the NE than to Florida. I really hope not, but who knows at this point in time..

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

Apparently she decided hitting Florida twice was a bit much.

Re: ATL: IDALIA - Models
Models are taking Idalia out of the picture quicker this morning. They’re leaning away from a NE impact scenario and have a harder time regenerating it.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.
